Häago
The warmers are made of iron powder, activated carbon, vermiculite, water and salt, all in a polypropylene bag. Once the outer packaging is opened, a natural exothermic reaction takes place between the iron powder and oxygen in the air. Salt helps speed up the process, while the activated carbon diffuses the heat generated by the reaction.
In just five minutes, the warmers reach a temperature of 50 degrees Celsius. The vermiculite acts as an insulator and helps maintain the temperature for up to ten hours. This is perfect for skiing, snowboarding, winter hiking, running, outdoor activities and general winter use. In short: Häago keeps the cold at bay.
