Edelrid
Due to a solid foundation in four different divisions (Sport, Safety, Customer Solutions and Adventure Park), Edelrid is largely independent when it comes to market fluctuations. This gives them the necessary freedom for creativity and enough space to develop the best possible products in each segment. Attention and respect for humanity, nature and the environment are invariably taken into account. For example, in 2009, Edelrid was the first to introduce a climbing rope that fully complies with the strict requirements of the Bluesign® label. Additionally, since then every centimetre of rope produced by Edelrid has been fully Bluesign® certified. Another first was the development of the first completely PFC-free climbing rope that passed the UIAA standard for water-repellent ropes. Meanwhile, Edelrid has even succeeded in producing an equivalent climbing rope from fibre residues from the regular production.

HISTORY
Edelrid
To say that Edelrid has been around for a while is an understatement. A cord and thread factory was founded in Isny, Germany, as early as 1863 by Julius EDELmann and Karl RIDder. In 1953, Edelrid's accumulated expertise and mastery resulted in a revolutionary product: a rope in which the core is protected by an all-round sheath. Pioneering work that has fundamentally increased and changed the safety and capabilities of ropes. To this day, this core-mantle construction is still the way every modern (climbing) rope is made. Based on this long tradition, Edelrid still manufactures all its ropes, lines, slings and belts exclusively in Isny. The brand now belongs to the Vaude group and, in addition to climbing and mountain sports equipment, also has a wide range for professional applications in the Industry and Safety market. The passion for mountaineering is always the driving force as well as a mainstay. It means that Edelrid continues to push its boundaries and set its goals higher and higher in every segment in which it operates.
