From the very beginning, the brand focused on innovation with a single product: a waterproof sock, designed using a unique three-layer membrane system that combines waterproof protection, breathability and comfort – a technology that would later become known as Aquasealz™. Over the years, Sealskinz products have been tested in extreme conditions. Used on expeditions, they are trusted by outdoor enthusiasts around the world. Since the early 2000s, Sealskinz has expanded its range and is recognised as a pioneer in waterproof, breathable accessories for cyclists, hikers, runners and more. In November 2022, the brand was acquired by Ray Kelvin, founder and former CEO of fashion brand Ted Baker, with the ambition to further grow Sealskinz and reach a broader audience. The range expanded, and alongside the iconic black, the colour palette was enriched with fresh, contemporary tones. ​
